I casted my first ever vote & Political Dynamics of Pakistan

I yesterday (11th May 2013) casted my first ever political vote in the Pakistan’s election for Provincial & National Assembly at Lahore. It was a good as well as a worst experience of my life. I went to the poling station at 10:15 am in the morning and got free at 1:45 pm in afternoon. I didn’t took my breakfast and went directly to poling station. The que and a position in which i was standing remain there for 3 consecutive hours except moving just 3 to 4 feet towards the poling room. You would ask why? because the people in front of me were giving the space to their relatives or friends even coming late and on protest in front of the police men who was responsible for the management of the que showed his innocency. When i asked one person making his space in front of me instead of standing on the back of the que according to the number or arrival at the poling station, he said; ” please let me in, please”….i said “no, you have to stand back according to the number” even all others showed their anger on him and on such pressure he went back.  I can give him space on the basis of humanity and brotherhood but why should i ?, if we were there for bringing change in Pakistan then we have to follow rules and it is always there for everyone. Another person who was trying to enter in to the front que, upon my voice threatened me with some worst words.

Even the poling officers were too slow in their working. However, after a long wait, i went into the room and casted my first vote. I got one experience that if you want to cast a vote in Pakistan and on such a poling station where population ignores moral ethics, you have to be there at pooling station at earliest even before the time of start of poling.

At 4:55 pm, ARY digital TV channel first break the poling station result where as GEO TV and other channels were saying that they have first announced the result, you can’t imagine about the growing competition among these newspaper owned news channels in Pakistan.

It was a hope that PTI of Imran Khan will give a strong competition in Punjab province to PML-N but it happened in some constituency or rather in some poling stations. But through this elections, i came to understand the likeness and likenesses f people of Pakistan instead of giving preference to the person or part which is wise, honest and ready to make Pakistan stronger than making money. Though PML-N is a good and better political party then others but there policies and development projects are not at all-wise. There policies and projects more focus on gaining political votes in the next elections as well as making money from the projects instead of or for national interest. If they do cater national interest then the percentage level is less than 50% or may be only 20%. Gor example, Sasti roti Scheme, PML-N served billions of billions on it but what is a result, people ate it and it went into the stomachs and become waste. So as Yellow Cabs (Taxi Scheme), people have made these taxi as their own home cars and etc etc. PML-N got a big lead in elections in Punjab but there are certain questions to be asked to people who favored them in the elections. For example,

1. Why can’t people see the corruption done by the leaders of PML-N such as Money Laundering Case, Talk with the Judge of Shahbaz Sharif on the phone & taking his favored decision from him.

2. Such policies like Sasti Roti, Yellow Cab, Laptops, Danish schools, No Project Papers been made for Metro Bus System at Lahore & no audit of projects.

I got one result from these elections that people are self-centered/selfish & they are only concerned with their benefits. As long as people are getting their personal benefits at local level from these political parties, they shall keep giving them votes and putting back national interest as well as they are least concerned with the corruption level of these Political Figures.

“PML-N (Nawaz Sharif) has now got a strong competitor for the next several years at Lahore as well as in Punjab province that can strongly challenge them in any elections. I will not be easier for PML-N to shut their eyes and get elected easily. PML-N has to show their worth by implementing good development work across Pakistan as it is an important as well as will be a last chance if failed. Otherwise, they will face the same consequences that has been faced by PPP of Ms. Benazir Bhutto in 2013 elections”

PML-N should remove;

  • Wasting money on wrong development projects
  • Should not favor any MNA , MPA or collation party in any means either they want Govt. Ministry or money for development work in their constituency
  • PML-N should avoid giving any development tenders to their party members or to whom they are familiar and only favor merit based work.
  • They should not bock down on any matter by any powerful entity either internal or external

otherwise PTI of Imran Khan will eat them for next 30 to 50 years”

Now PML-N got the Govt both at Provincial and National level….lets see what they do now or waste the money on wrong development work/projects. PTI should utilize KPK province GOVT and make it a model for all other provinces. Surely when people will watch the success of PTI in KPK then in next elections they will give chance to her in future.
